Skywatch Friday, Dreary Day

Much of this week has been dreary with cloudy skies and off-and-on rain. Good thing the grass is green to make the drive from Selma to Montgomery picturesque! These hills are in a section of Lowndes County along the historic route of U.S. Highway 80.

I've noticed that about highway 80, there are few parts that are like that...

Yes it has been dreary. and it looks like we are in for a dreary Labor Day weekend. But I heard on the radio this morning that right now all of Alabama is drought free right now. Remember just two years ago when there was barely any water in Lake Martin?

Nice Photo--thank goodness for the green grass, because there is not much else between Selma and Montg!!

Bucolic! But where is the traffic!

Hi Jacob. That's the lovely thing about Hwy. 80 these days. It's four-lane, yet most of the heavy traffic goes out of its way to travel the congested interstates!

You are not kidding about green grass. Need sunglasses even in the rain!

Very pretty stretch of road for a highway...sure beats the interstate....
