The millstones will turn once again at Kenan's Mill on Saturday, Nov. 3!
Celebrate the Year of Alabama Food with fresh-ground cornmeal and grits
at the annual Kenan's Mill Fall Festival. Sample some old-fashioned apple cider
made on site, and tour the mill and charcoal kiln. Children will find lots to do
from hayrides and train rides to sack races and jumping
in the Selma Fire Department's Fire Safety Bounce House.
Then, bring a lawn chair or sit upon the hay bales
and enjoy live music or head to The Vittles Wagon for barbecue,
chili, hot dogs, Hoppin' John, cornbread and more!

Wow that sounds like fun? Is Autumn and Winter warm for you all season or does it get cold there? We get down to 20 degrees for the high at times in the "dead" of winter.
Renae, our weather is mild in fall and spring, and I suppose some would say mild in winter. Jan. and Feb. are the coldest months, and we occasionally get down to 20 at night, usually 40s, 50s in the daytime. Right now, we have highs anywhere from the 60s to 80s and lows in the 40s and 50s. Nice!
Wish I could be there. The old-fashioned cider sounds GREAT!
